- Pawtucket was founded in 1671 with a special place in the industrial history of the United States. It was here at the Slater Mill Historical Site that Samual Slater constructed and operated the first water-powered cotton spinning mill in North America founded in 1793. From here, the industrial revolution was born.
- Hasbro, the popular toy manufacturer, has been headquartered in Pawtucket for nearly one hundred years. Among its products are: Transformers, Potato Head, G.I. Joe, Power Rangers, Play-Doh, Nerf, Baby Alive, My Little Pony, Monopoly, and Twister. Hasbro traces its origins back to 1923 by the Hassenfeld brothers who emigrated to the United States from Poland. They engaged in the textile remnant business, selling cloth leftovers and eventually transformed into manufacturing toys in the 1930s.

Shea High School, William E. Tolman High School, and Jacqueline Walsh School for the Arts. The partnership will empower all participating Pawtucket students to prepare for postsecondary success and provide them with a comprehensive breakdown of the SAT and proven test-taking strategies for the different sections and question types.
