How quickly can I get started with Horizon?

Onboarding with Horizon is flexible and efficient. Schools can start using the program after a kickoff meeting and the first training session. Most schools start using the system within 1-3 weeks of the kickoff call.

Purchasing Horizon for your school includes 9 total full-length practice assessments for each exam. We recommend spacing these out throughout the year, one for fall, one for winter, and one for spring.

What is included in the prep curriculum for each exam?

The prep curriculum includes introductory lessons, strategy lessons, and content-specific lessons tailored to prepare students for the SAT® or ACT®. Most lesson plans include: teacher presentation materials, support videos, independent student lessons, and student practice sets. In total, the prep curriculum would take typical students 50-60 hours to complete all the lessons, but students can see significant gains from as little as 15 hours of targeted instruction. In addition to strategy and content, Horizon Education includes teacher resources to help prepare students for the stress of high-stakes testing. Guided thinking exercises help prepare students to be in the right mindset to do their best on test day.
